Take time in your life to matter to the small ones.

I chose to foster kittens, after getting the idea from my boyfriend that it would be a fun thing to do. I've fostered two litters of kittens so far, until they found a forever home. I'm on a break now, as My house is on the market, and the cats must be kept to a minimum if the house is ever to sell. :) I have two beautiful rescue cats that live with me permanently, and
I advise strongly for you guys to help out in the art of animal fostering. If you fall in love, you can keep them, if not, it is a lovely no strings attached way to make your world a better place.
My first rescue cat was a poor cat who was abandoned in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. When we got her, every bone in her body stuck out of her matted fur, she was starving. She was unable to find enough food to eat in the city. We were led to her by a kind soul on kijiji, and were pushed to take her home, as there was a hurricane, Hurricane Earl fast approaching. Thus, we named her Stormy. She was completely feral when we got her, and bit anyone who tried to pet her. She is now a loving cuddly cat, with a bit of a temper and a wild streak, but I love her to death.

The second cat we got, was little eddy. He was the runt of the litter of our very first foster group of kittens, he needed special attention because he was underdeveloped and wasn't getting any food. I used to have to feed the little guy numerous times a day, in a little room, all by himself so he could get fed. He is now the cutest kitten ever, we've adopted him, and he is brilliant. He plays fetch, he snuggles, he is a riot.

I miss all of the foster kittens who have moved on and found new forever homes, it kills me inside every time they leave me, but it is for the best, if I kept all the cats I fell in love with, who know? I'd be one crazy cat lady. Here is  a sweet little video of Eddy, who tucked himself into the bed for his nap.
